tools and help on tool bar do not open in word and word only all others
function fine. has anyone come across this before and able to resolve?
I have tried detect and repair, uninstall and reinstall office 2003,
included all office updates and still no solution to failure of tools and
help in "word".
Detect/repair and uninstall/reinstall generally don't fix that particular
kind of problem because of Word's prime directive to "preserve the user's
settings--even if they're causing the user fits".
Generally speaking, the solution to problems such as yours require some kind
of surgery -- such as renaming or deleting Normal.dot and/or the Data key in
