Default Tool bar button colors are degraded

Most of my Office 2007 app's tool bar buttons are degraded to what looks like
a 16bit bitmap while some remained at high color bitmap. I tried the
Office's [Repair] setup option and it does not fix it. My graphics card is
NVIDIA Quadro FX 2500M running at 1280x1024 with Color quality set at
Highest(32 bit). Could anyone help, please? Thanks, Chong

Hi Chong,

In the Windows control panel check the accessibility setting to see if you have turned on 'high contrast'.

The "high contrast" is not on.
The problem is not all of the graphics (buttons and images in Office 2007)
are degraded.
the "Office button" and scroll arrows are always black and white, the Paste
button for all Office apps are low graphics (but color), while Word's Styles
button and some of other buttons look normal.
It's too bad I cannot forward a screen shot to you. Would there be any way
to flush the Office configuration and start from scratch? Since even the
uninstall and reinstall did not solve this problem, I am quite lost.

Do you have the current driver? This one has an August 2007 timestamp

I have Dell M90 notebook and the below mentioned driver did not find my
hardware. Instead, I went to Dell and got the latest video driver for this
machine. My driver is now dated 4/28/2007.
But ... I am still having the same problem.

The new driver did not fix my issue; but, I think you were correct to point
out it must be related to the driver not working together well with the
Office 2007 apps. I am using dual monitor session.
The h/w configuration is M90 + docking station + 1 Dell 1905FP (Digital) + 1
Dell 1905 (Analog). The graphics return to normal (high color) when I am
only using one; but, when I use the dual monitor, the graphics degrades only
on Office 2007 products. Would you have any suggestion, please? Thank you!!

This would be a Windows concern. Take a look at one the Windows newsgroups.
