Default SharePoint Designer 2007

I am unable to install this application on my Windows XP SP2 machine. I have
MS Office 2003 Professional installed. The error message states the the
"Windows Installer service cannot update one or more protected Windows
files." Can anyone help me?

Are you logged in as the machine's administrator, or someone with
administration permissions?

Yes -- I am an administrator.

I actually found the problem (late last night). I looked in my events viewer
and the installer cannot find a dll. I was able to download the dll and was
able to install the application.
