Default Service Packs & .NET Frameworks

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 with Microsoft Windows XP. It has been running
very slow and I was just wondering if I need ALL of these items on my
computer.

1. Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
2. Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Hotfix (KB928366)
3. Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Sevice Pack 2
4. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2
5. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
6. Microsoft Compression Client Pack 1.0 for Windows XP
7. Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable
8. MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB954430)
9. Windows XP Service Pack 3

Default Re: Service Packs & .NET Frameworks

None of them will impact on performance
The majority are security updates

Deleting/uninstalling them will impact on your system security and may cause
some applications to fail.
Large files make no difference to sys performance. If your HD is too small
and you have insufficient free space that can impact on performance.
For advise post to a winxp group, & state how much free space your sys has,
and the size of your HD
This is not an Office related issue

What do you mean but "their files are pretty large". Removing them will
probably not make your computer run faster.
