You don't use "Vista". You use the software that can with your scanner.

Im not sure whether JoAnn Paules meant Office instead of Vista.
However, can I please confirm this 100%? The function of being able to
scan a document into Office 2003 - Word, no longer exists under Office
2007? If it does still exist, can you please tell me where please?

Many thanks indeed.

Office 2007 has Document Imaging and Scanning but it may not be
installed by default, I'm not sure of that. If it's not under Office
Tools, insert the Office disk, select the change option and add it.

No - I meant Vista because that's what the OP said. Had Mickey (OP) said
Office, I would have responded the same way.

Hi Yohane,

You may want to review the article here:

Thank you all for the information contained in this post. It has been
very helpful indeed. I would also like to apologize to you JoAnn
Paules if I offened. That was never ever my purpose.

I did as suggested and found that I hadnt installed Document Imaging
and Scanning initially so I added that

function. I now have no problem scanning a document after opening the
function from Miscrosoft Office Tools from

the start buttom\open all programs. However, I am still having some
problem using the method listed below.

> http://www.technologyquestions.com/n...=862183However, I have to admit that I didnt have more than about 30 mins to

play around with this function at lunchtime

today.

Now Bob Buckland ?:-\), that kind off blows my mind. I have been using
Office for years but couldnt say that I

know anything about macros. Heres a chance for me to learn.

Once again, I wish to thank every single one of you for this
information. I live in Japan and due to many factors

must use Japanese software. No, Im not Japanese. But forums such as
this are a true blessing I can assure you.
