Default Right click Send To Mail Recipient quit working after Office 2007

After installing Office 2007 SP1, some users cannot do a file > send to mail
recipient from the desktop. A new mail message appears with the item
inserted as an attachment. The user adds a name in the To field, clicks on
Send and it hangs and never sends the email. Anyone knwo why this would not
work after installing Office 2007 SP1? We are using Office 2007 SP1,
Exchange 2003 SP2, and Windows XP SP2.

Is Outlook open when the user tries to use this option?

Yes, Outlook is open. We've also tried with Outlook closed. I think it must
be an app that they have on their pcs that is causing this since it pertains
to a certain group of users.
