Default reduced functionality in licensed product

I hace installed an OEM version of Office 2007 with a license for Office
Basic. I put in the key on install but now , a month or so later, all the
programs have gone to reduced funcionality. When I click on "activate now" I
get no response of any kind. I reinstalled but no help there. Anyone know
what to do?

Probably NOT a licensed product, because you are probably not in
compliance with the license terms. The Office 2007 Basic OEM package
says, "This OEM software is intended for system builders only... The
purchaser of this software is required to comply with the terms of the
System Builder license...." And there's that "only for distribution
with a new PC" thing...

Was this OEM version supplied with a PC or did you purchase it?

Yes it came with a new computer and I got vista at the same time which seems
OK. They actually preinstalled the wrong version of Office (Home and
Student) while my license was for Office Basic so I had to reinstall from a
disk they gave me marked for system builder use only with preinstallation. If
there was something wrong with the key I expected at least a message telling
me that but I didn't get any warning at all.

Contact the vendor to sort this one out. You may have to remove the
other version first, but they should help sort out their snafu.
