Red x in inbox - outlook 2002

Red x in inbox - outlook 2002

Images do not display in inbox but do display in sent items. Images in main
inbox are just red x's. I'm sorry if this is topic is getting old all I can
find are items for 2003 up and they don't really apply. any suggestions
welcomed.
