Default Print screen key not working

I used to be able to press the PrtScn key on my keyboard and whatever was on
my screen would automatically print on my printer immediately. It has
stopped doing this. I do know how to alt/prtscrn and paste, but I like to
just press the key.

Thanks,
dk

It doesn't work that way. It just copies it to the clipboard.

Reinstall the software that you were using to accomplish that feat.
Windows and Office don't do it that wy.

To further JoAnn's information, Windows does not by default
or any built in process copy directly from the screen to the
default printer. It will copy the screen to the clipboard
from where you can insert the image into a program that will
handle graphics.

If you want to print directly using the printscreen key, you
need a third party program to do this and if you used to be
able to do this with Windows, you had such a program
installed.

The program I use is free and is called Screen Hunter 5.0
which can be downloaded from
http://www.wisdom-soft.com/products/...unter_free.htm.

This program can be set to automatically print from the
entire screen, the default window or a user selectable
section to the default printer. It can also be set to send
the information to the clipboard or a file also. Really a
useful program. Easy to set up and use.

Let us know if this information helps.
