Outlook didnt install with office 2007 basic edition

I have just installed Office 2007 Basic edition on a vista machine.

Word and excel are ok but outlook has not been installed. If I try try to
add components from the CD outlook is marked as "not available"

Can anyone assist

Do you have a previous version of Outlook installed?

I have the same exact problem.
Is there a fix?

I do have Microsoft Office 2003, but need to kee my files.
