It would be helpful to know the error.

Meanwhile empty your temporary cache. In Internet Explorer, tools, Internet
Options, delete files.

Put Microsoft Office in your trusted area. In Internet Explorer, tools, Internet
Options, Security tab, high-light trusted sites, click sites button, clear
*Require server verification (https for all site in this area*.
Type http://office.microsoft.com in the address bar, click add.

Look at your firewall. Obviously you are connected to the or you wouldn't be
able to use the Community discussions.
What is the error message?
Can you accept the ActiveX control? Is the ActiveX control enabled in the
Add-ons? In Internet Explorer, tools, manage add ons.
