Office Basic 2007 and Tablet PCs

Office Basic 2007 is being offered prepacked/installed with some Tablet PC
notebooks with Vista Home or Business Premium. My first question: Does it
work and recognize handwriting directly into this version of Word/Excel/PPt?,
and the second: Does Office Basic has limited time or is a normal working
version of the 3 apps? Answers are really appreciated, I will like to give
my son a nice tablet PC that works.

Handwriting is handled by Windows Vista, not Office. Office Basic
functions just fine. You may want to add One Note to the purchase (retail
is better than from the computer manufacturer) if it is not already offered
on the tablet;
