Default Office 2007 Startup Problem

I've scanned all postings back to December and didn't find this problem
posted. Therefore, please don't tell me to go look for it first.

Now my problem. I've managed to live with this for a few months now but now
it's time to fix it. EVERYTIME I start an Office 2007 application or at
times even one of my other applications, I get a window: "Please Wait while
Windows configures Microsoft Office Home and Student Edition 2007". When I
click cancel, another larger window comes up "Configuring Microsoft Office,
etc, etc". I can click cancel and back out but if I do it too soon, it will
close, if I wait, my application will finally come up. This also happens on
a few other applications that are not Microsoft apps. I did a clean install
of Office Student edition and I'm using Vista Home Premium. My wife uses XP
and it runs ok on her system. I think there may be a file or two I need to
remove. What's your take on this? I've uninstalled and reinstalled so many
times, now I have to call Bopal India to get a new activation code. I'm
almost about ready to trash office altogether and go with Open Office
instead. Also Internet Explorer shuts down for no reason on start up and
I'm using Firefox instead, BUT you cannot download from Microsoft with any
other browser as far as I know. Help please. Oh how I sometimes pray for
CP/M and Wordstar, dBaseII, and Procomm.

P.S. I have UAC turned OFF and did what "Yam" said about tweaking the
registry. Still no luck.

Perhaps this is the issue.
Shared software components are removed when you uninstall Office 2000
