Microsoft allows you to install a single license on one computer AND
one laptop simultaneously.

But not for simultaneous use. So if there are two different users on the
desktop and one of the laptops, then that requires two separate licenses. If
the laptop is primarily the desktop user's laptop, then yes, one license
would suffice since the two systems wouldn't be in use at the same time.
The original post isn't clear, though. It sounds to me as if there are three
users, in which case they'd need 3 licenses.
I have one desk top and one lap top. I am the only user of either. Sometimes
I operate both at the same time. Is this okay. I know this is fine wiht
Office 2003.
Thanks
