Office 2007 makes Java give error for multiple JVM running. Why?

When I installed Office Enterprise 2007, Java stopped working. It first says
"Java runtime environment could not be loaded." Then when I try again it says
"Multiple Java Virtual Machines running in the same process caused an error".
Changing browsers doesn't help and I updated and reinstalled Java but to no
avail. Alse when I uninstall Office Java works again. What's going on.

I would ask in a Java forum.
