I am running Office 2003 under Windows Vista Home Premium. Whenever I attempt
to access the Office Assistant Gallery to select a new Assistant, I get a
message that there is "not enough memory to complete this operation",
although I have 60% 0f 2Gb RAM free!
For what it's worth I have the same setup and get the same message. Because
I do not use clippy and it's friends I don't care to much about it. I will
see if I can get som info on this for you. Probably a last minute bug.

Have you heard anything about this issue - any solutions? I'm having the
same problem.
Thanks!

I tried garfield-n-odie's suggestion and link on the previous message dated
7/28/07 and it worked for me, using Vista and Outlook 2003 (office 2003).
Note: When copying the file in the accessories command prompt area be sure
to right click command to get run as administrator for the rights to copy as
stated in the instructions.
I am happy to say I have now changed my paperclip to a dog.
Thanks garfield-n-odie.

I appreciate your writing back to say that my suggestion worked for you.
Too bad my reply was a total waste of breath, time, and bandwidth on
the other three posters in this thread.

Thanks for the the feedback. I'm happy to report that it worked for me as
well, and I have "Links" back with me.
Thanks again.

Thanks garfield-n-odie, I had this problem and couldn't get help for a while,
but your solution worked instantly

Just bought a new Gateway laptop with 64 Bit Vista on it. After spending an
entire night with trying to get the Office Assistant to the dog I called
Gateway and was told there was a patch - they didn't know where it was but
for me to call Microsoft. Someone on another forum posted your exact same
link to get the patch and every time I click on it I get "Page not Found".
Is there another place I can get this patch or is that link no longer good
or something like that? I'd really like to get rid if the clip without
hiding the assistant completely after using it for years.
Thanks!
