Object within drawing canvas, alignment to left margin

I'm having a terrible time getting a text box and line within a drawing
canvas to align with left margin. The canvas layout is "in line with text",
left justified. The text box has "position in diagram" horiz. set to 0" from
top left, and internal margin left is 0". Then I do fit on the canvas. But
this leaves the text looking indented about .05". All I want is to get
everything exactly aligned with the left margin. Any ideas would be
appreciated. Thanks.

I'm assuming this is in Word? What version of Word are you using?
