Default New hard drive old system imaged

Problem Description: I installed a new W.D. drive using an image style copy
system and all seems ok except Office Pro XP 2002. I cannot uninstall /
repair & detect, etc. I have aggravating messages when I open all Office
apps. They do open eventually after the installer tries to install the app. I
have tried a solution by downloading an exe file "Clean Up" registry
recommended for: “Add or Remove Programs - This patch package could not be
opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or
contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows
Installer patch package”
But to no avail. The condition still exists.
Operating System: WindowsXP SP3
Let me know if you need more info - thx
