Default My typing doesn't go all the way to the margin that is set

I have set up the parameters for where the typing should be on my page,
however, the typing does not go all the way to the set margin. I have set the
margin at 1" and the typing automatically indents 1.5". Is there somewhere I
need to look to change a setting? I have most of my document this way and
newer material is going all the way to the margin like it is supposeed to. I
can't copy & paste to get it to change, nor can I retype anything to get it
to straighten out. PLEASE help me! I have 2 college papers due Tuesday and
both are to have 1" marging. I'd HATE to loose points because I'm to stupid
to figure out this program. Thanks, Pat.

Check your paragraph settings - is it just the first line indents or the
whole paragraph?
