Default mouse/keyboard jump

at times, when typing on keyboard in any office product mouse will jump to
another line or part of document or email message. any ideas why?

Umm, you are using a laptop and hitting the touchpad?

yes, using laptop. if i'm hitting touchpad don't realize it. just entering
keys and cursr will jump

Try reducing tap sensitivity, or put a piece of cardboard over it
temporarily to see if that is it. There is a remote possibility that it
is broken and the pressure on the keyboard is being picked up as input
on the pad. BUT eliminate the touching possibility first.
