Default Missing office 2007 home and stucent folder and icons

The folder in which office 2007 has disappeared. the only way i can use word
or excel is opening an existing doc.. I tried finding the apps. by searching
the computer but even then all it will find is excel. I've tried office
diagnostic but it shows no problem. I've tried to repair it using the office
cd, but it get stuck. I've tried uninstalling but i doesn't do anything. I've
tried reinstalling it with the installation cd but it doesn't do anything but
get stuck.

'get stuck' doesnt say an awful lot
The default path is; Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12

There should be shortcuts under Start>Program Files
The shortcuts 'New Office Doc' and 'Open Office Doc' should be pined to your
Start Menu

Not with 2007 - you have to install them separately.
