Default Microsoft Office XP Standatd for Students and Teachers Version 200

I have a copy of M/S Office XP Student and Teachers. I got a new computer
with Vista and installed it. My new computer crashed and now it will not
allow me to re-install the M/S XP disk. It will start the process and not
load. I have tried several times....it did pop up something about a pirated
version, but this is the actual copy that I purchased from Office Depot. Am i
out of luck????

We need some specifics.

Please explain what you mean by "It will start the process and not load."
What exactly happens?

Also, "it did pop up something about a pirated version" is very vague. If it
was an activation screen, it may have been asking you to activate by
telephone instead of via the Internet, but I don't think Office XP required
activation. (It may have done so in some countries -- I'm a bit fuzzy on
the details.) If you can post the exact text of whatever it popped up, that
would be helpful.
