Default Microsoft Office Small Business Purchasing Query?

I am starting up a small business and need Microsoft Office for 6 users. Can
i buy one full package (approx £330) and then just licenses for other users
or do i need to biy the full package for each user?

In addition, would i get away with biying an older version of Office such as
2003 small business or will this leave me and my business limited?

I need a cost-effective option as 6 x £330 is very expensive! Any advice
would be welcome!

Can i upgrade Office Student to Office Small Business?

Thanks,

Nick

Default Re: Microsoft Office Small Business Purchasing Query?

Hi Nick,

Like car models, once a new one comes out the manufacturer stops shipping the old ones, so Microsoft no longer offers Office 2003.
It's still a good product and only you can decide how 2003 vs 2007 fits into your short and long term business needs

You may want to look at the MS Open Business volume license product. It starts at 5 user licenses (and the licenses don't need to
all be Office to reach the quantity five startup value).

There isn't a true upgrade option for Office Student/Teacher's edition, but you will find that certain ones work as upgrade package
qualifiers from the 'Pricing and Upgrades' link on
http://office.microsoft.com/suites
(If you get the U.S. list, change the country in the top left corner of that page).
