Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007

I am considering buying a 2nd hand version with only one licence left.
I only need to install it on my (one) laptop. My question is about the
licence; if i have to re-install the operating sytem from the supplied
discs (which I had to do recently to remove unwanted programs) and
start from scratch would this in effect use up the licence and mean
that I could not re-install the Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007

No. If this is a RETAIL version, then you get the right to three
installations transferred to you on the sale. the seller MUST uninstall it
from any machine they own, and transfer everything to you.
