Open the last one and then Insert File and pick page 99. Then do Insert
and pick 98, etc.

Thanks; that's certainly a workable answer and I will do that...but I must
say, when a computer that makes 1.6 mllion decisions a second requires a
human to repeat the same tedious action 99 times just to create one multil
page tiff file, something's dreadfully wrong! I hope someone else knows a
workaround that will allow all 100 separate tiffs to be combined into one
multi page tiff file, in one step! :-)

Your problem is creating the 100 separate files to start with. If you
don't want to combine them individually yourself, you will need to
instruct the computer how to do it. (batchfile or scripting or some
imaging program that supports batching. IF you still have the original
PDF file, just start over and PRINT the pdf to the Microsoft Document
Image Writer this time.

Yes! That does it! I had never realized what the item named, "Microsoft
Document Image Writer" was, in my list of printers. It works similarly to
the "Adobe PDF" printer item in my printer list that is installed with
Acrobat, only "Microsoft Document Image Writer" is apparently installed as
part of MS Office. Too bad I never got an opening screen or any other
indication, when launching Microsoft Office Document Imaging, to tell me what
this "printer" was for. Printing a PDF to "Microsoft Document Image Writer"
generates a multi-page TIFF which "Microsoft Document Image Writer" can then
convert to OCR in one step. Thank you for pointing this out for everyone.
