Default Microsoft Office button does not work for Word and Excel 2007

Hello,

One of the client PC was having this problem. Regardless of who logging on
to the PC including domain admin, when you click on the Microsoft Office
button, nothing happens. No dropdown menu list like it supposed to. It only
displays the tooltip. We had tried to uninstall & reinstall, restart and even
repair. Nothing works.

Does anyone has this issue? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
KC

Does the problem occur if you start Word or Excel in Safe Mode? Exit the
applications, hold Ctrl, and start Word or Excel. Continue holding Ctrl
until you are prompted to start in Safe Mode.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email cannot be acknowledged.

Thanks for replying. We had tried to start Word and Excel in Safe Mode: /a
from Run. Yet, we still experienced the same problem.

I will try holding the Ctrl key suggestion and see what it does. Will post
response later.

Thanks, KC.
