Default Microsoft document imaging default save location.

Hi,

Does anyone know how to set MS document imaging to save to a default
location rather than to the local temp file?

I have a user trying to save as default to a network drive & whenever he
restarts the web based program & tries to save with MS document imaging it
points to the local temp file. I know other MS Office products you can change
it to save elsewhere as default.

Thanks

Hi Marcus,

It's not clear if you're referring to more than one program as you mention both MS Office Document imaging and web based program.

What is the location of the files that are being opened? The default folder for opening in Tools=>Options=>Other=>Advanced usually
defaults to My Documents and MS Office Document imaging saves files back to the last folder used for opening a file in a typical
operation.

Using either File=>Save As or Page=>Save Pages As if additional often used locations are needed add them to the Places bar on the
left of that dialog in Windows XP.

Hi Bob,

Our user clicks on a link that takes him into a web based program, when he
goes to save an image that is where Microsoft document imaging comes in & it
saves to:

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

So even if we then point it to save on a network drive & then we close off
the program & try again, it will save to the temp internet folder again.

So I'm a bit stumped on this one & Google doesn't have much on it.

Thanks
