Default Merging Outlook Address books

I have one address book created by my MSN E-mail account: another created
directly by my input. I would like to merge and eliminate duplicates and
eventually have just one directory. Is this possible, is this recommended,
and if not, why/

And what, exactly, do you mean by "direct by my input"? Are you using some
sort of mail client, and if so what?

Outlook uses the Contacts folder to supply the information needed for
the "Address book". Get the info into the Contacts folder and you are
good to go.
