Default Marking a block of text, the text does not disappear when typing a

Hi!
When I use Office 2003, no matter if it is Excel, Word or Outlook, when a
text is marked the marked area will not disappear when typing new letters as
it used to do. There must be some setup-menu where I can tell Office to not
behave like this, the question is where?

Best regards

Hi Morten,

In Word's Tools=>Options=>Edit see if you have the 'typing replaces selection' choice turned off.
