Mail Merge from e-mail with Outlook 2007

I used to be able to send a mail merge to one of my contact folders, open and
edit the e-mail and resend to a different folder of contacts using mail merge.
Now I can't seem to be able to use an existing e-mail and perform a mail
merge function. Please Help!

Mail Merging from word & from my contacts works fine, but I have to start
from scratch every time. I'm using Office 2007 --> no incompatibility issues
Is this feature simply not available any longer?
