Installing office 2000 on Laptop with Vista Home/Student

I receive Error 1309 D\E_\Windows\Msagent\Intl\AGT0409.dll Verify that
file xists and that you can access it.

How is this a suggestion for Microsoft? Office 2000 is out of mainstream support, has many problems documented here daily running on Windows Vista, and generally is not a good idea to run 8 year old software on a new operating system.

There is no such thing as "Vista Home/Student".

I have the same setup and get the same error trying to install Office 2000.
I've checked that folder and it's empty but I know I didn't erase it. Can't
find any info that's been helpful yet. Hoping someone will respond soon.
