Installing Microsoft Office in a Windows XP and Vista dual boot co
If I decided to install Windows XP and Windows Vista in a dual boot
configuration on the same computer, would it be possible to install Microsoft
Office standard 2007 on the Vista and XP partitions using the one single copy
license of this Microsoft office application? It is my intention to carry
out two installations of Microsoft Office on the XP and Vista partitions
using the one single user license copy. Will it be possible to activate
Microsoft Office 2007 on both partitions with the single user license copy of
this product or do I need to acquire or buy another license of Microsoft
Office eventhough I using the same computer and the same physical hard disk?
Please advise me on this important matter.
I would appreciate a reply from anybody out there.

Installing in two hard drive partitions counts as installing on two
licensed devices. Specifically, the Office 2007 Retail Software License
Terms say, "A hardware partition or blade is considered to be a separate
device."
If you have a retail-box copy of Office 2007 Standard Edition, you are
allowed to activate the software on two licensed devices. Specifically,
the Office 2007 Retail Software License Terms say, "You may install and
use one copy of the software on the licensed device. You may install
another copy on a portable device for use by the single primary user of
the licensed device."
If you have an OEM copy of Office 2007 Standard Edition, which is
intended for use by computer manufacturers to distribute with new
computers, you are only allowed to activate the software on the one
computer (licensed device) that the software came with.
