I'm asked to insert the CD-ROM buy my software came installed
I uninstalled aol and a couple of other programs I never use. Now, when I
want to use Excel, I get a box with the message "The feature you are trying
to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert
the 'Microsoft 2000 SR-1 Premium Disk' and click OK. I don't have the disk.
My program is Office 2000 Premium. My ID is 50106335294166702596
All the other Office programs run just fine: Outlook, Word, Access,
PowerPoint and FrontPage. How can I get my Excel running again?

Afraid you will need the Office 2000 CD

Then you're out of luck, I would think.

Re: I'm asked to insert the CD-ROM buy my software came installed
Perhaps when you uninstalled "a couple of other programs" you uninstalled
something to do with Excel. Have you tried using System Restore to go back
to the time just before you did the uninstalls? You don't need the Office CD
to do that.
