I AM BACK AGAIN WITH ERROR 1919

Well I had exactly the same problem as can be seen from my separate postings.
May I pointed this out the Mdac 2.8 will not install to XP because it says,
the files are already there either. As I followed METHOD 2 - steps #5 I am
unclear what CD (Office or operating) are there talking about. Can someone
help me in laymen teams. Also I did not find MDAC file by useing METHOD 2
steps 1 - 4 it did not work. I had to use search from the control panel to
location these files called MDAC and I still do not know which on to use
since it is more then 1 file name MDAC. I am trying to learn.. Thanks

The first thing to learn would be to keep to a single post / thread, that
way anyone trying to help could follow what has been attempted and its
results, currently it is neccessary to read all your seperate posts in an
attempt to follow this issue; many people may not bother.
ie your current post is related to a response in the thread of a seperate
post, in order to understand what you are taking about its neccessary to
read the earlier post.

You posted with an initial problem, which received some responses. Then
instead of responding in the same thread with a follow up, when whatever was
suggested didnt cure the problem, you started a new post.
You have done this with several posts.

This current post is a response to an earlier post, and as such in order to
understand what you are alluding to it is neccessary to find and read that
earlier post. It would have been so much easier if you had replied to that
thread which gave the link to the MDAC article.

The link that I posted is for the MDAC checking utility, if you download &
run it you will get a report of the state of your current MDAC installation,
the version - 2.8 or? - and any file, version / incompatibilities.

You can reinstall MDAC, as per the link in one of your other post/threads,
allthough the installation would likely be affected if any MDAC file was in
use - which I guess maybe gave rise to the err msg you were receiving.
