Default How do i get the 25 character code for Office 2007?

I purchased my computer back in Feb of this year and I was able to use my
Office 2007 like Word with no problems for my college papers and now its
telling me i need to put in a 25 Character code but i was never given one and
ive tried asking Best Buy and The Geek Squad cause they installed everything
in my computer but they told me to contact microsoft to get the code. Any
ideas on how to get it so i can start using Word again for my papers? Thank
so much!

Download Belarc Advisor and see if it tells you. Don't you have the box the
software came in?

Sounds rather like they only installed the trial version.

You go out and purchase Office 2007 in the same version as you have your Trial installed. Then you remove your Trial Edition after backing up all the Data that you want to save and then install the Office that you have purchased that comes with this 25 character number which is called your License for Office

You uninstall the trial version via the Control Panel ('Add/Remove Programs' or 'Programs and Features', depending on which version
of Windows you're using)

No, you don't have to reinstall the operating system! And you shouldn't need to use the OS CD/DVD. Just use the Control Panel to
remove the current installation of MS Office.

There should be no need to backup the data just for this, as the installation/removal processes don't affect the data. It is always
a good idea to back up your data though.

Yes, you will need to purchase the full version. There are various 'flavours' of this, so pick the one that best suits your
situation. See: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/pr...635841033.aspx
