Method 2 - http://www.ihp.ucoz.ru/publ/2-1-0-6 -
shortly, in say Word 2003:
type a Russian vowel, then press and hold Alt button
and then on numeric keyboard at the right type 769
(may be you need to have NumLOck "On" there)
