Default Home & Student 2007 Help files

I purchased MS Home & Student 2007 with new Dell computer. Programs seem to
work except for the fact that I cannot access the help files on any of the
programs--Work, Excel, PP, One Note. Anytime I click on the Help button (or
question mark in the top right hand corner of a program) I get error
message--"There is a problem with one or more help files. Please repair your
Office Installation and try again".
I have.....tried to repair program both at Add/Remove Programs and with my
Office CD but still get the same error message. I have uninstalled whole
Home & Student program and then reinstalled.....no luck. I called Dell and
he said I could Restore my computer to original (but I currently have no way
to back up all photos, music, etc so this is not an option right now) or I
could run MS office update that would take very long time on my dialup
connection. I ran the MS Update--193.9MB--but this did not fix the problem.
No more updates are offered when I go to MS update.
So now I still don't know how to get the help files to work.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
