My Office CD was stolen with my daughter's laptop. I need to do a newsletter
in Word and it shows the newsletter but says that macros are not enabled. To
do that it always ends up with inserting the CD, which I don't have. Today,
I tried to do some of the patches from the website, but it ended up asking
for the CD also. Isn't there anything I can do? I paid $500.00 for that
stupid thing years ago and now that I'm retired can't do what I need to. I
am NOT a computer whiz, so any suggestions would be so greatly appreciated.
I did register the Office purchase when I bought it, but I can't seem to find
any support for that on the website. Am I missing something? Thanks to
anyone who can help me!!!!!

In addition to the link that Tom and Carey gave you, contact your
homeowner's insurance carrier. You should be able to recoup some of your
losses.

Just wanted to let you all know that I followed the thread and called as it
suggested as I had the needed documentation for replacement; however they
will not replace anything, because it is too old and they said they don't
have any, any longer. I wish I knew someone with a Office 2000 CD so I could
just borrow it for awhile. The guy on the phone said that I'd have to
purchase something and they wouldn't even give me a discount, even though I
had registered this, etc. Pretty frustrating. Thanks for trying to help me
anyway!

If it's been stolen, claim on your Insurance for a new replacement.
Thanks, I'll look into it. I think that the deductible is about 500.00 so I
don't think it would help. It was in the car and they smashed the window and
grabbed a laptop with it in the case. At that time, we didn't realize that
CD was in there until we couldn't find it and realized it had to have been.
I think it may be too late, too, because that happened in about 2002.
