I'm sure I'm not the first person to do this, but I can't find the answer.
My laptop came with 2007 Home & Student Trial already installed on it. I
didn't activate, but rather installed Office Standard which I bought. I
(wrongly) assumed Standard would install over H&S, but I was wrong and now
have both installed. Now Office is having weird problems, but I'm afraid to
uninstall H&S...If I uninstall H&S will it screw with the Standard install?

I would uninstall both versions, reboot and then install your Standard package again.
