Default Ftp password

Hi

I have used the "Add/Modify FTP Locations" in Office 2003 to create a place
to store documents on a ftp server.

The problem is that it ask me the password everytime I use it. Even if I
have stated the password when I created it.

Have I done something wrong or is this a bug.

The FTP server is requesting the password. IT is not the MS Office doing
this.

Yes, but when I create the FTP location I stated my username and the
password. The username is passed to the FTP server but not the password.

When the link to the FTP server is opened it should be on following form:

ftp://usernameassword@ftp.servername.com

the syntax that is used is the seem to be the following:

ftp://username@%20ftp.servername.com

Perhaps that was a security change made after the initial release of 2003.
