Formating Issues

While i copy a group of text from a word file to another word file but the
format (Font,defined style...) changes automatically. can any one explain me
why it happens and suggest a way to retain the same format while copying the
file .

Sir i am new to the world of Word my job is office automation can you share
some of your experiences in order to explore new things in word which will
certainly help me to learn more about office automation as well as to gain
knowledge. I would be very thankfull to you. because i have a very little
amount of knowledge regarding the Word i want some one to guide me towards
more interesting phase of word.
