Does Office 2007 Home/Student edition work with the BI features?
I am a software developer and looking at a new home machine for .NET
development. I don't need Outlook, but I do want to play around with some of
the BI features with SQL Server (I have SQL Server 2005 Developer edition).
I just want to make sure that Office 2007 Home edition is fully functional,
so for example Excel can interact with a SQL database if I do some Analysis
Services work. It would really suck if I had to spend more money on Small
Business or Professional edition to be able to test and develop BI solutions.
I would not be using it for commercial purposes, but for development and
testing. Is it a fully functional version of Office, or did Microsoft
cripple it in some regards?

Re: Does Office 2007 Home/Student edition work with the BI feature
Right, aware of those restrictions. Non-commercial use doesn't apply since
I'm not using it commercially, just to develop against. Sounds like it will
suit my needs then. Thanks for the reply!
