Win. XP, Word 2003 setup. Ctrl. S no longer works. There is not another
program on the system that uses that keystroke. I have tried remapping the
keyboard to this for File Save, replacing the keyboard, renaming Normal.dot
and having Word recreate it. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

If the document as already been saved, it looks like it saves it. If it is a
new document, it flashes, but I never get a dialog to save it.

When it flashes, try doing an Alt+Tab. It could be that the Save dialog box
is under your document.
