Have been using access 2000, and 2007 was installed. When I went to convert
the old access database to 2007, I had to remove the password from the file,
which meant opening it in exclusive mode.
The problem I am having is when I then go to convert the file to 2007, it
tells me the file is in use by admin on my computer, and I must wait for this
to become available.
Closing the file does not help
Restarting the computer does not help
Copying the file to a new location does not help
I can convert it to a 2000-2003 version (same version) at which point it
does a compact and repair, and makes the new file, but that new file also
will not convert to a 2007 version, with the same error coming up.
Re: convert file to 2007 and exclusive right error
Hi, Nick,
You might want to post this to an Access newsgroup since more Access gurus
tend to hang out in those locales.
