Default Communicator 2005 Security

Hello.

I work with multiple companies, and need to ensure privacy for each. Can I
access different communication servers at different times by changing the
server name in Communicator? Is there any security risk in doing this?
Could Communicator allow an admin from any of these companies to do something
invasive on my PC, or gain access to information stored locally on my PC?

Thanks - Dave
