Default Colors and extended monitors

When I open Office 2007 on a single monitor it displays in all its glory.
However, when I extend my desktop to a second monitor the entire office
program "reverts" to 256 colors. As soon as I go back to single monitor it
is fine. I suspect it has something to do with my graphics card. I have Dell
Latitude D610 with nvidia chipset. I've tried updating the graphics
drivers/chipset but it doesn't seem resolve anything.

Anybody else see this or have any suggestions? Obviously trying a different
graphics card is out. It doesn't affect any functionality at this point but
is a little annoying

You will probably get more help if you ask this in a Windows Hardware group.

Your graphics system need more memory assigned to handle the greater
color depth at higher resolutions. Not an Office issue or an operating
system issue. You can set it in the BIOS or contact Dell tech support
for assistance.

I have the same problem here, too. I've posted my issue with "Tool bar
button colors are degraded" as the Subject.
I have Dell M90 with Quadro FX 2500M (512MB) using dual screen.

What happens if you reduce the resolution, and therefore the memory
requirements for rendering.

Just reducing the resolution in dual-monitor mode does not help.
However, if disable one monitor, the my Office 2007 apps look fantastic!

Do you have the ability to increase the memory available to the video
adapter? Maybe in the BIOS setting?
