Default Clicking on hyper link launches IE with -Embedding option

Hi
I am writing an office add-in which communicates with our web
application. Using the add-in hyper links pointing to pages of our web
application can be inserted. The problem is: whenever the hyper links
are clicked, office application launches the IE with -Embedding
command line option which doesn't forward to proper page. The problem
doesn't appear if the default browser is mozilla or firefox (the
office application does not launch these browser with any such command
line option). Is there any setting that can make office application to
launch IE without -Embedding option?

Thanks
Prem
