Default A chinese WGAtray.exe file was downloaded with my Office Software

Hello:

When I downloaded my Office professional 2007 on my Operating system of
Vista 64 a microsoft WGAtray.exe icon showed up in my startup task bar. Now
when I open up my Outllook or any other program from Office a dialogue box
shows up all in chinese (and I do not speak chinese). It gives me two
options. The left sends me to the chinese Microsoft.com link and the right
options makes the dialogue box go away. I have no idea why this happens, and
I need some help. I have gotten help from the Microsoft team and did
everything they asked for me to get rid of this notification (that is really
only for XP) however it is showing up in my Vista startup taskbar, again only
once I open a Office application.

Could this mean that I received a pirated edition of Office
Professional?????

Could someone please help me... I am really frustrated and have no idea what
this chinese information is telling me.

I would like to show someone what this dialogue box looks like and what the
startup icon says when I right click it.. but there is no way that I can
printscreen to hear and there is no option to attach a document.

Help Please.

Jane

I purchased it on e-bay from a vendor.

Therein lies your answer, send it back, if you can and buy from a legitimate
source, otherwise put it down to experience

I am having the same issue (on 32-bit platform). Vendor that sold the
software was legit, MS Office came factory sealed from Microsoft. Either
I've been swindled via elaborate priracy hoax, or there is some issue with
software.

Default WGATray.exe

I purchased my copy of Windows 2007 Professional from ebay as well. It was still in the sealed case. I have the same box with the same two options in an Asian language (as described above) but it only interferes with Outlook. It's driving me nuts. I also continually get an error about a data file not being closed properly the last time I closed Outlook (9 out of 10 times it happens).

Any suggestions? Is it okay to remove this WGATray.exe? Or is it actually important?
