cannot view animated gifs in Microsoft Office Picture Manager

When I receive an automated gif file in Outlook I am able to see the
animation, but cannot save it. To work around this I forward to my
Thunderbird email account and the animation shows and I used to be able to
save it and open it in Microsoft Picture Manager. Now however, Microsoft
Office Picture Manager does not show the gif animation. What do I do to
handle animated gif files so that I can view the animation and send the
animated gif files in email documents?

You need HTML to see an animated .gif.
