Default can't transfer image document to word

When I use MS Office Document Imaging, everything works OK until I send it to
word. Then I get a RunTime error, C:\Program Files\common Files\Microsoft
Shared\MODI\11.0\MSPSCAN.EXE
I have spent hours on this please help.

Have you tried just scanning it in, saving that file, and inserting that
image into your Word doc?
